According to the public Relations and International Affairs of Qazvin Science and Technology Park, a number of knowledge-based products of Roshd Sanat Niroo (RSN), a private technology-based company located in Qazvin Science and Technology Park, entered into the industrial production phase.

In addition to having running factories in Hashtgerd industrial city, this knowledge-based unit also includes an active research and development (R&D) unit in Qazvin Science and Technology Park on which by utilizing experts in the fields of electricity, mechanics and metallurgy, it produces electric machines for the country’s heavy industries including oil, gas and petrochemicals, cement, power plants, mines and metals.

One of the most important knowledge-based products of RSN is the EXd class explosion-proof electric motor that manufactured at a power of 550 kW and a voltage level of 6000 V for the first time in the country in this class of protection against explosion and successfully passed the ATEX certification tests.

One of the most important applications of explosion-proof electric motors is in the petrochemical, oil and gas industries. Due to the lack of domestic manufacturers, especially at the medium voltage and high voltage level, similar foreign models were used and now this product can be produced in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

It should be noted that Roshd Sanat Niroo (RSN) Company has been introduced as one of the companies selected by the Ministry of Oil to localize explosion-proof electric motors, which is one of the ten basic commodities of this ministry, and is working to cover the domestic needs of the oil industry.
